Organisation of Higher Education in Independent INDIA

India, also known as Bharat, is a Union of States. It is a Sovereign Socialist Democratic Republic with a parliamentary system of government. The Republic is governed in terms of the Constitution of India which was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949 and came into force on 26 January 1950
I know, you will interested to know, how Govt of India is managing and processing the issue related to Development of Indian Society .Go through Constitution of India and various amendments carried on over time,it will give you clear picture how our elders thought and visualised to future for Indian Society .National Informatics Centre (NIC) has provided a Website(http;//indiaimage.nic.in) which gives us a composite picture about of Govt of India.
How we have organised our self under the constitution of independent INDIA (goidirectory.nic.in/education.htm/ ). However study about policy making and implementation for Govt of India is wide topic of research for involved in regular search and research . we are interested in study how Higher Education has been organise for benefit our future of students in research progress Higher Education only.
We fined that first step taken by the Government was the consolidation,straightening and assigning to powers to U.G.C to organise and develop the Higher Education in India ,as a Central Organisation .
Historically 'U.G.C' a committee which initially was suppose to oversee the work of the three Central Universities of Aligarh, Banaras and, Delhi.Dr Radha Krishnan ,
The Chairman,Commission constituted the Govt India, recommended to reorganise it on model of University Grant Commission of U.K.However The University Grants Commission (U.G.C) was formally inaugurated by late Abul Kalam Azad , the then Minister of Education, Natural Resources and Scientific Research on 28 December 1953 and was established in November ,by an Act of Parliament in 1956, as a statutory body of the Government of Indian in order to ensure effective region-wise coverage throughout the country, the U.G.C has decentralised its operations by setting up Six Regional Centres at Pune,Hyderabad,Kolkata,Bhopal, Gauwahati and Bangalore.. The head office of the UG (http;//www.ugc.ac.in) is located at Bahadur Shah Marg in New Delhi, with two additional bureaus operating from 35, Feroze Shah Road and the South Campus of University of Delhi.

Fifteen autonomous Institutions , were established by the University Grants Commission with the responsibilities of accreditation for higher learning
in India in their respective field of operations as given bellow:
